About
Hope Lutheran Church Preschool (HLCP) is intended for families searching for a positive, academic experience integrated with Christian values. Our program features a safe, loving and caring environment in which early childhood academics, socialization, and Christian education are all components in a play based format.
The number of children in each class is intentionally limited to achieve a maximum student/teacher ratio of 8:1 for the 4/5 year-old Pre-Kindergarten classroom and 6:1 for the 2.5/4-year-old preschool class. We believe this allows for a more caring and productive class environment.
We follow the Missouri Educational standards for Early Childhood Education. Our curriculum is taught by experienced and educated childhood professionals. We teach Spanish, Sign Language, Music, Movement, Art and Bible. Our curriculum is theme centered and includes components to allow for your child’s growth in spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development.
Our classrooms provides a friendly and educationally stimulating environment for children with a dramatic play area, sensory table, reading corner, science centers, small manipulatives for math, literacy, and a block center. The fine arts, such as music, art, and creative dramatics, are integrated with the weekly themes and Bible lessons.
